It’s an honour just to be nominated

First off: this blog is Grant’s. I simply try to post the odd time to help keep fresh content flowing, as does Amy. Really, though, Absurd Intellectual belongs to Grant.

Thus, let me be the first to congratulate him on having his blog, Absurd Intellectual, nominated in four categories for the 2010 Canadian Weblog Awards.

The Canadian Weblog Awards are intended to promote good weblogs of all genres from across Canada year round through regular interviews, articles, and the nomination, judging, and award process that culminates with the announcement of the top three weblogs in each category on January 1st.

Although the nominations have only been open for about a week and there is still the bulk of 11 months to go before voting opens, it cannot be said that Absurd Intellectual was a last minute nomination.

Bookmark the site and be sure to remember to vote next December. We’ll remind you, too.

    Congrats guys!

Tough competition, when I peruse the list of nominees — we’re even up against friend-of-the-blog Endless Spin in a couple of categories.

However, the secret Absurd Intellectual weapon is “alphabetical order”.

Now we’re just going to have to be extra-great this coming year — really EARN those votes.

Thanks for the nomination, whoever did!

Congrats! You totally deserve it, and good luck!

Good luck my friend. This site is always entertaining, and like Endless Spin, deserves a bit of acclaim.

Congrats! Absurd Intellectual is da bomb. Da love bomb.

Add more kung fu, car chases, jet packs or Japanese game show type of posts, and I think you’ll be over the top for next year, folks.

What Colin said, plus some McGiver stuff like how to build a computer using a paper clip, string and some ear wax…..
